せんしゅう、きょかさんと会いました。子どもの時、ケーキが好きだったので、ケーキ屋さん(cake baker)になりたいだと言っていました。アメリカに住みたがっています。英語を勉強したいからです。たくさんアメリカの町に行ったことがあります。でも、カナダのアボッツフォード(Abottsford, Canada)がいちばん好きな町です。とてもやさし人たくさん住んでいるからです。 日本の大学生はデートの時にかいものに行ったり、カラオケに行きたりします。
A lot of students from both American and Japan go to other countries to study another language. It seems that a lot of Japanese students come to American to learn English, but do they also go to other countries to learn languages other than English? I'm positive they do, but I'm curious about which other countries other than America are the most popular for Japanese students to study abroad.

ハウゲンさん、did you ask here about her past experience using ことがありますか。? If so, please add the information as well.
ReplyDeleteWhen I studied English in Jr. high school through college, to me, English=America b/c I only had American teachers. So it all depends... if you have a teacher from Australia, you might want to go there to study English or if your school has a study abroad program with UK, you will probably go there.
Grammar comments:
ReplyDeleteA1:~なりたかっただと言っていました。-->short form conjugation before と言っていました
A2: アメリカに住みたいです-->other's desire
A3: カナダのアボッフォードがいちばん町です。-->いちばん町(=best town) doesn't make sense in Japanese. YOu need to say いちばん好きな(adjective)町、for example.
Besides these minor errrors, your narrative is good!
well i heard new zealand was a popular place to go learn english. when i went to japan for guy healy one of the jc (japanese counselor)went to new zealand to learn english. he had a bit of an accent but i was able to understand him. also a girl that i met at one of the camps was going to Australia to study english. that's what i know of. hopefully you'll find more.
ReplyDelete私はカナダのアボッツフォードに行ったことがないので、行ってみたいです。
ReplyDeleteアメリカにはすみたくありませんが、アメリカを旅行するのは好きです。

ReplyDeleteI fixed the grammar mistakes you highlighted. I did ask Kyoka about her past experience, but forgot to put in ことがあります form.
I've wondered about where people go to learn english too. I guess America has some good schools, but I never thought our schools were such good schools. Is going to an American school that big of a deal?
ReplyDeleteハウゲンさん、
ReplyDeleteI see your revision!
